Nationwide Title Clearing offers expanded suite of title searches and reports

Oct 12, 2009

Nationwide Title Clearing (NTC), a document and services provider for the residential mortgage industry, has launched a full expanded suite of nationwide title searches and reports. The service provides a full battery of searches including current owner searches, 30 to 60 year searches, lien position searches, delinquent tax and title bring down reports - all at competitive prices. Most title companies rely on title plants for various states, which can sometimes be inaccurate when compared to public record. NTC offers an actual public record search on all searches and reports. NTC will either send a person to examine and search public records in the courthouse first hand, or internal will staff examine actual courthouse, land and tax records through other available methods. Costs for these services are competitive to title plant searches. “As one of the leading document recovery vendors in the country, it was a natural extension of our existing services to expand our offerings to a full battery of title searches and title reports, especially since we’ve already been performing title searches with investor clients for the past several years.” said Jeremy Pomerantz, senior vice president for marketing and sales at NTC. “We have already signed on a number of government agencies and investor clients and expect this to be a very successful offering in today’s environment, and more and more necessary for reviewing purchased loans or loans being modified for potential risks.” According to Pomerantz, after performing hundreds of thousands of file reviews it’s been proven that title-related documents are among the most likely documents to be unrecorded or misplaced or lost in a loan file. In addition to the actual note, these documents are the most critical to protecting the investor’s assets should the borrower become delinquent or default. For more information, visit NWTC.com.
