RedVision taps Steve McDonald as director of government partner programs

Jan 05, 2010

RedVision, a national provider of real property research solutions, has announced the hiring of Steve McDonald as director of government partner programs. "RedVision has long advocated the need for public and private sector cooperation as it relates to land records sale and access. We believe having Steve on our executive team brings a better understanding of the issues and challenges Recorders and other government officials face with respect to privacy, statutes and the needs of their business constituents and citizens. We look forward to Steve's leadership and input as we tailor our products and commercial relationships to the needs of individual States and Counties." says Brian Twibell, chief executive officer of RedVision. Located in Parsippany, N.J., RedVision works with close to 200 counties nationwide to build its proprietary property data information platform, TitleVision. This year, RedVision was the recipient of the New Jersey Technology Council's Software/Information Technology Company of the Year Award. The NJTC has over 1,200 member companies which provide business support, networking opportunities, information, advocacy and recognition of technology companies and their leaders. "As an industry innovator, RedVision knows how important it is to build public-private partnerships. In my new role, I look forward to leading that mission" McDonald said. "So few places offer the chance to expand your skills and have an impact across the industry. It is a great opportunity, and I am excited to work with this team to help RedVision advance the business forward and serve our customers better." Prior to joining RedVision, McDonald is concluding 12 years of public service as the Lancaster County Recorder of Deeds. As a nationally recognized authority on the operations and technical advancements relating to land recording offices, Steve's efforts have been successful in the development and deployment of computer programs that resulted in staff scalability and increased productivity at which recording offices operate. McDonald served as the president of International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers (IACREOT) from 2007-2008 and was a founding board member of The Property Records Industry Association (PRIA). In 2008, McDonald was the recipient of the National Notary Association's Calvin Coolidge Award for spearheading the PA notarization Initiative and in 2007 was awarded the prestigious Medallion Award by the National Association of Secretaries of State for his leadership role in government. Prior to becoming recorder, Steve was association manager for the Horst Group. Steve has experience in many facets of both public and private business. He holds accreditation as a Certified Public Administrator from the University of Missouri and has received the Accredited Real Estate Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
