Feb 18, 2010

For the second year in a row, the Georgia Association of REALTORS (GAR) presented the Partners in Education Instructor of the Year Award to Howell Haunson, director of education for Morris|Hardwick|Schneider. The Atlanta-based firm, with law and title offices in 13 states, is one of the largest real estate closing law firms in the nation. "I do my best to make sure my education classes are both lively and interesting to participants," said Howell, who teaches a variety of seminars on topics such as real estate contracts, fair housing practices and mortgage fraud. "I am fortunate to be able to do something that I enjoy and am passionate about, and I am grateful to Morris|Hardwick|Schneider for the opportunity to share what I know with others in the real estate industry." The Partners in Education Instructor of the Year Award is given annually to the continuing education teacher with the highest average student evaluation score. Howell also recently was the recipient of the 2010 Educator of the Year Award from the Georgia Real Estate Educators Association. "Howell is a key contributor and his relentless work ethic has greatly benefited our staff, attorneys and real estate agents tremendously," said Nat Hardwick, M|H|S managing partner. "The honor is very well-deserved." Haunson has been practicing real estate law for more than 25 years. Currently, he heads Morris|Hardwick|Schneider's Education Department and dedicates his entire practice to serving and educating the real estate community. Haunson has served on the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association Board of Directors and is actively involved in presenting lectures and seminars relating to real estate issues throughout the country. Haunson was named valedictorian at Atlanta Law School, where he earned both a Juris Doctor degree and Master of Laws degree. For more information, visit www.closingsource.net.
