PHH Mortgage names William Steinmetz SVP, fulfillment operations

PHH Mortgage Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of PHH Corporation, has announced that it has named William J. Steinmetz senior vice president, fulfillment operations. In this new position, Steinmetz will assume responsibility for managing all aspects of loan processing, underwriting operations and loan closing activities. He will report to Luke Hayden, president of PHH Mortgage. Steinmetz joins PHH Mortgage from Aurora Bank in St. Louis, Mo., where as senior vice president of operations, he managed all retail loan operations. Over a 20-year career with JP Morgan Chase, Steinmetz held a number of senior operations positions, including retail loan operations for Chase Home Finance, retail operations for Washington Mutual and wholesale correspondent operations for Chase Home Finance. He began his career at New York Guardian Mortgage. "Over the course of his career, Bill has demonstrated an exceptional ability to improve processes, lower costs, and grow both revenues and profits," said Hayden.
