Default Resource, a provider of real estate-owned (REO) management, valuation and loss mitigation services, has announced the hiring of James Zeldin as executive vice president and chief sales officer. Zeldin brings more than 20 years’ experience in default management, origination services, REO management and business process consulting to Default Resource, where he will be responsible for developing and executing the firm’s strategic sales initiatives. Prior to joining Default Resource, Zeldin was the senior vice president of business development for Altisource Portfolio Solutions and its predecessor company, Ocwen Financial Corporation. While at Altisource, he was responsible for designing and developing multiple business lines spanning origination and default services. Zeldin previously served as managing director of operations and client services for a division of Lender Processing Services (LPS) and holds an MBA in real estate and finance from the University of Texas at Austin. “James’ expertise at developing solutions on both the origination and servicing sides of the mortgage business make him an invaluable addition to our executive team,” said Default Resource Chief Executive Officer Glen Calderon. “As the real estate market recovers we will be developing new solutions that fulfill the mortgage industry’s most critical needs, and James will be an integral part of this effort. We are extremely fortunate to have him on board.”
