Residential Wholesale Mortgage Announces the Acquisition of Government Loan Center

May 03, 2011

Residential Wholesale Mortgage Inc. (RWMI) has announced that it has acquired the Government Loan Center (GLC) of Uniwest Mortgage Corporation in San Diego, Calif. The Government Loan Center, a division of RWMI, brings a combined 200 years of expertise in the origination, underwriting, and closing of Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) home loans.  “As a community lender we are committed to providing San Diegans with the best FHA and VA home loan products and acquiring the GLC enables us to deliver quality service at competitive rates,” said Residential Wholesale Mortgage Inc. (RWMI) President Brad Livingston. RWMI appointed John McDade as director of government lending. McDade is a 36-year veteran of the mortgage banking industry. He serves on the National Association of Home Builders Finance Subcommittee and is recognized on a national level within the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and the VA. “We have lived and worked in San Diego nearly three decades and feel the necessity to facilitate homeownership for Veterans and their families," said RWMI’s co-owner, Susanne Livingston. "It's our way of giving back to those who have given so much.”
