Total Mortgage Services Names Victoria Bextel SVP of Operations and Elaine Presta Wholesale Ops Manager
Total Mortgage Services LLC has announced the hiring of Victoria Bextel as the company’s head of national operations for both its retail and wholesale channels. Bextel brings to this newly-created senior management position over 22 years of operations, underwriting and management experience within the mortgage industry. In her role as executive vice president of operations, Bextel will be responsible for managing all operations for Total Mortgage’s retail and wholesale channels, from the time the loan application is received until the time the loan is sold to investors. Bextel will be based in Milford, Conn. and report directly to John Walsh, president of Total Mortgage Services LLC.

These skills, combined with Victoria’s experience with the implementation of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards, will ensure our excellence in customer service and accuracy in deliverables, while maximizing productivity and reducing costs.”
Most recently,Bextel was senior vice president of processing services at ISGN, a provider of mortgage technology and services. In this role, Bextel was responsible for building and maintaining client relationships through management of the opening, processing, closing, post closing, suspense, underwriting and funding departments for residential loans. Bextel joined ISGN through the company’s acquisition of Fiserv’s Fulfillment Services business in 2009, where she also held the title of SVP, processing services. Previously, Bextel was regional branch manager at Provident Funding, where she managed 13 wholesale branches, provided training and guidance to 39 branches, and assisted in opening 10 new branches within a one-year timeframe.
Prior to her time at Provident, Bextel, who is a HUD Direct Endorsed Underwriter, was VP, northeast regional underwriting manager at HomeSide Lending Inc., where she was responsible for managing the residential underwriting department operating in eight states, ensuring staff was properly trained and loan files underwritten according to FHA and conforming guidelines. During her career, Bextel has also held leading operations and underwriting roles at Eagle Federal Savings Bank and Northeast Savings.
In addition to Bextel, Total Mortgage has hired Elaine Presta as wholesale operations manager with direct operational responsibility for Total Mortgage’s wholesale channel, TMS Funding. Presta brings to this new position 22 years of experience in operations and underwriting within the mortgage industry.
Presta also joins Total Mortgage from ISGN, where she was assistant VP of the mortgage lending department. In this position, Presta was responsible for managing and delegating the workflow of the department to provide optimal customer service and client satisfaction. She joined ISGN through the company’s acquisition of Fiserv’s Fulfillment Services business in 2009, where she also held the title of assistant vice president of the mortgage lending department.
Previously, Presta was pipeline manager, underwriter, rate lock coordinator, and broker liaison at Provident Funding, where she was the primary resource for all underwriting, product, rate and price questions; servicing more than 100 brokers in the northeast.
Prior to this position, Presta was northeast regional underwriting liaison at HomeSide Lending Inc. where she was responsible for assisting in file flow management, serving as point person for underwriting/product questions for more than 20 account executives and more than 400 brokers covering mid-Atlantic and Northeast states. During her career, Presta held operations and underwriting roles at Bank of America, Eagle Federal Savings Bank, and Northeast Savings.
