Lender Processing Services Inc. (LPS) has announced the appointment of Hugh R. Harris to serve as the company's new president and CEO. Harris will also serve as a member of the company's board of directors. Harris served as president of the financial services technology division at Fidelity National Financial (FNF) and Fidelity National Information Services, prior to the latter company's spinoff of Lender Processing Services.

Before joining FNF, Hugh R. Harris served as president and CEO of HomeSide Lending Inc., where he was responsible for one of the world's largest full-service mortgage companies. Harris also served as president of Mortgage Corporation of the South, as vice chairman of BancBoston Mortgage Corporation and was active with the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).
