Stonegate Mortgage Names New EVP of Capital Markets
Stonegate Mortgage Corporation has named John F. Macke as its new executive vice president of capital markets. A seasoned finance executive with significant experience in the mortgage industry, Macke will be responsible for all secondary marketing, capital markets and servicing asset management for the company’s mortgage portfolio. He will report directly to Dan Bettenburg, president of Stonegate.
“Stonegate’s unique focus on providing a superior customer experience while maintaining a disciplined approach to responsible lending has led to our success over the past six years,” said Stonegate Mortgage Chief Executive Officer Jim Cutillo. “As we continue to execute our business plans, we are pleased to have someone of John’s experience join our team. His understanding of the capital markets, mortgage servicing and valuation are great tools that will enable us to maintain and enhance the strength of our balance sheet as we continue to grow.”
Macke’s career in the mortgage finance market dates back more than 20 years, having served in a variety of senior executive positions for Irwin Mortgage Corporation including: Senior VP of capital markets, strategy and business development, and as president of Irwin Reinsurance Corporation.

He joins Stonegate from AmeriCare Ambulance Service where he has served as the company’s EVP and CFO since 2010 overseeing and leading all financial, IT, legal and human resources functions. His additional experience includes other entrepreneurial endeavors in the mortgage finance and technology sectors.
