First Guaranty Mortgage and MortgageKeeper Partner on Distressed Homeowner Services

First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation (FGMC) has announced a partnership with MortgageKeeper Referral Services, a firm that connects individuals in financial distress to reputable community services by way of its MKDesktop Product. Through the partnership, FGMC customer service representatives will have continuous, Web-based access to more than 6,000 non-profit and government services. In working with customers facing financial difficulty, FGMC representatives will be able to tap into as many as 20 service categories at any given time, including job training, food assistance and utility payment assistance. Current subscribers to the database are connecting their customers to more than 2,700 resources a day. “Our partnership with MortgageKeeper represents a very real solution to the very real difficulties many in our economy face,” said FGMC Chief Executive Officer Andrew Peters. “Our commitment to the viewpoint that borrowers are much more than simply numbers to us does not end with the loan closing. This resource will allow us to support our customers and help them in these challenging days.”
