Gary B. Fabian Joins Stearns Lending as CFO

Stearns Lending Inc. has announced that Gary B. Fabian has joined Stearns Lending Inc. as chief financial officer. Fabian brings 26 years of executive level financial experience specific to the mortgage banking and financial services industries. Fabian most recently served as vice president of production finance for MetLife Home Loans, the residential mortgage division of MetLife Bank. For more than 18 years, Fabian held several senior financial executive roles for mortgage banking industry leaders, such as MetLife Home Loans, Bank of America Home Loans, Countrywide Home Loans and North American Mortgage Company. In addition, he has served as CFO at Redwood Credit Union and Capital Management Associates.

Fabian, an accomplished, analytical, senior finance executive and CPA, will be responsible for setting and directing overall financial policies and procedures; and will partner with other key executives to oversee companywide business channel operations. Fabian will be based at the Stearns Corporate Headquarters in Santa Ana, Calif., and will report directly to the CEO.
"Gary Fabian's skill sets encompass financial management and reporting, strategic planning, budgeting and margin management across retail, wholesale, correspondent sales and fulfillment channels," said Brian Hale, the company's new CEO and board member. "His depth of industry experience combined with his distinctive analytical intelligence makes him a talented financial professional capable of delivering exceptional results."
Fabian received his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich.; and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Gary and his wife, Janet and their two children will be relocating to Orange County, Calif. from Plano, Texas.
