Guaranteed Home Mortgage Company Inc. has announced the appointment of Dirk Adams as president of the company. David Wind will remain as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Guaranteed Home Mortgage. Adams has held a number of senior positions in the banking and mortgage industries and has achieved success through his creative approach to organizational and policy issues. His role will encompass the continuing development and implementation of corporate strategy, as well as enabling Guaranteed to maintain and gain market share through operational efficiencies. "Dirk Adams is anything but a typical banker," said Wind. "He has succeeded everywhere he goes as a result of his unique perspective and proven vision. I’m looking forward to partnering with Dirk to shake things up a little.” Prior to joining Guaranteed, Adams held the position of senior vice president of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, built the mortgage division of a premier bank into a top 50 lender and served as a senior executive for a savings bank in Oakland, Calif. for 15 years.  "David’s wise stewardship of Guaranteed has been instrumental in maintaining the company’s profitability over such a long time—a rarity in the mortgage industry—and I look forward to working closely with him for many years," said Adams. "In addition, as lawyers, we share a perspective on the field, and hopefully, we can come up with unique solutions to facilitate, improve and expand the many financial products Guaranteed offers.” Adams is a graduate of Harvard Law School and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas.
