Former FDIC Counsel Blauvelt Joins WFG National Title

WFG National Title Insurance Company has announced the promotion of A. Roger Blauvelt to the position of vice president, National Agency Underwriting Counsel. WFG National Title is a national, full-service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for lender, commercial and residential transactions. Blauvelt will serve as an underwriting and legal resource for the company’s national title agencies. He will also contribute to the WFG National Title national underwriting team. Blauvelt has more than 30 years of experience in the title and mortgage industry, and has been with WFG National Title since early 2011. Before that, he served as Counsel—Special Issues for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Previously, Blauvelt served 24 years with one of the nation’s largest title underwriters, departing after seven years in the role of senior vice presdient of Northeast and Southeast Regional Counsel. He has also represented mortgage lenders and title insurance companies in private practice. He was the New Jersey Land Title Association’s president in 1987 and 1988. Blauvelt received his Juris Doctorate from Fordham Law School, and his Bachelor’s Degree from Boston College. “Roger is one of the most highly regarded title insurance attorneys in the industry,” said Joseph Drum Esq., executive vice president of WFG National Title. “His experience, competence, knowledge and skill set make him yet another excellent resource in WFG’s continuing efforts to support and collaborate with their independent agency partners.
