NewDay USA Receives Award From the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans

NewDay USA LLC, a nationwide VA, FHA and reverse mortgage lender, has been named the recipient of the 2012 Corporate Partnership Award from the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV). The annual Partnership Award recognizes organizations that have contributed to NCHV’s efforts to develop partnerships that expand services available for homeless veterans. The Corporate Partnership Award was presented during the NCHV’s annual conference in Washington, D.C. Accepting the award on behalf of NewDay USA were the company’s CEO Rob Posner and member of Chrysalis Holdings’ board of directors Pete Retzlaff. NewDay USA is part of the Chrysalis Holdings family of companies.
“We are honored to receive this award, and are very proud to support the National Coalition of Homeless Veterans and its goal of ending homelessness among veterans by 2015,” said Posner. “At NewDay USA, we are focused on doing the right thing for veterans and active duty service members. This commitment goes far beyond meeting home financing needs. We see it as our duty to play a prominent role in supporting veterans and organizations that address the needs of past and current members of the armed services.”
Retzlaff is currently a director of Chrysalis Holdings. Prior to his service at Chrysalis, he was a member of the board of directors for Teleflex Corporation and for Harleysville National Bank. Before his career in private business, Retzlaff had a successful career with the National Football League, first as a player for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1956 to 1966, and then as the vice president and general manager of the Philadelphia Eagles from 1969 to 1972. During his playing career, he was a five time all pro tight end selection; in 1965, Retzlaff received the Bert Bell Award for NFL Player of the Year.
The NCHV, a non-profit organization governed by a 17-member board, is the resource and technical assistance center for a national network of community-based service providers and local, state and federal agencies that provide emergency and supportive housing, food, health services, job training and placement assistance, legal aid and case management support for hundreds of thousands of homeless veterans each year.
In addition to providing resources and technical assistance, the NCHV is also the primary liaison between the nation’s care providers, Congress and the executive branch agencies charged with helping them succeed in their work. The NCHV’s advocacy has strengthened and increased funding for virtually every federal homeless veteran assistance program in existence today.
NewDay USA is proud to be the exclusive provider of mortgage lending for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). The company is equally proud to be a leading lender approved by the Veterans Administration to offer its home loan programs.
