Former RealtyTrac SVP Rick Sharga Named to REOMAC Board of Directors
REOMAC, a non-profit real estate trade association serving the mortgage default industry, has welcomed Rick Sharga, executive vice president of communications at Carrington Mortgage Holdings LLC, to its Board of Directors. Sharga brings a wealth of experience and expertise in foreclosure, mortgage and real estate trends as well as in corporate strategy to the organizations leadership. One of the countrys most frequently quoted sources on real estate and mortgage-related issues, Sharga has appeared on NBC Nightly News, CNN, CBS, ABC World News, CNBC, FOX and NPR. He has briefed government organizations such as the Federal Reserve, U.S. Department of Housing and Senate Banking Committee as well as corporations like JPMorgan Chase, Citibank and Deutsche Bank on foreclosure trends. In addition, he has provided foreclosure training for leading real estate organizations such as RE/MAX, Prudential and Keller Williams.
Prior to joining Carrington, Sharga spent eight years at RealtyTrac as senior vice president responsible for marketing, business development and data operations. Recipient of the 2006 Stevie Award for Best Marketing Executive, he also has more than 20 years experience developing corporate and product sales and marketing strategies for corporations such as DuPont, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Toshiba, JD Edwards, Cox Communications and Honeywell. He began his career with Foote, Cone & Belding and held executive positions with Ketchum Communications and McGraw-Hill.
Sharga is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Editors and the USFN. He is also President of the Technology Council of Southern California and has served on the Advisory Board of Default Servicing News.
