Nationwide Title Clearing Collects Lunches for Palm Harbor Food Pantry’s Summer Program

Team members at Nationwide Title Clearing Inc. (NTC) are in the midst of food drive to support Palm Harbor Food Pantry’s Summer Program. The program is part of F.E.A.S.T. (Food Emergency and Services Team) and benefits local schoolchildren, low-income seniors, and the unemployed. During the summer months when school is not in session, many children who receive free lunch programs during the school year need a place to turn for a meal. According to F.E.A.S.T., a significant number of the 6,800 Palm Harbor area children who rely on the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program would be left hungry if their families could not turn to F.E.A.S.T., which is a north Pinellas County food pantry.
Nationwide Title Clearing heard about this program and since the company has nearly 300 local employees they decided to conduct a drive at its offices to support this cause. NTC employees are helping by donating brown lunch bags stocked with non-perishable food items to the pantry. Filled bags containing non-perishable food items that appeal to children and teenagers are being collected at NTC through July 12. The company is donating the bags to the Palm Harbor Food Pantry on June 29 and July 13. NTC employees are also assisting by making $10 donations to F.E.A.S.T.
"Many of our employees live here as well as work here in Palm Harbor and have children who attend Palm Harbor schools,” said John Hillman, who is CEO of Nationwide Title Clearing (NTC). “No child should go hungry at any time of the year, and we believe the food pantry’s summer program is an extremely important service that we are proud to be involved with.”
