Freddie Mac Names Rich Martinez VP of Multifamily Production and Sales

Freddie Mac has announced the promotion of Rich Martinez to vice president of multifamily production and sales. Rich was formerly managing regional director for the southeast region and national head of student housing. Rich will continue to manage Freddie Mac's southeast region, where he provides oversight for the student housing program across the firm's network, but will now assume the management oversight role of the Seniors Housing area. Martinez has been with Freddie Mac for 24 years and first joined multifamily’s Central Region, where he spent 21 years and was managing regional director until 2009. Rich relocated to McLean, Va. in 2009 to lead Freddie Mac's southeast region, where he has managed a staff of 10 and annual production volume in excess of $3.75 billion for the last three years. Rich has a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in history from St. Louis University.
