WFG National Title Insurance Company has appointed industry veteran Earle Thompson as vice president and manager of the Louisiana and Mississippi Agency group. Thompson will be joined in the company’s greater New Orleans headquarters by Agency Representative Debbie Thompson and Agency and Sales Support Specialist Cindy Sloane. The company is a full service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for lender, commercial and residential transactions nationwide.
Thompson’s role with WFG National Title will be to oversee the company’s agency operations in Louisiana and Mississippi, serving as a resource for existing agents there as well as working to grow the company’s relationships in those states. Thompson and Sloane will support him in their respective roles, working to assist agents and execute the day-to-day operations.
Thompson comes to WFG National Title after 17 years with one of the nation’s largest title underwriters, most recently as the agency manager for Louisiana. Before that, he served for seven years as a vice president, state manager with United General Title. He was previously a VP, state manager for Minnesota Title Company, before which he served in the mortgage lending industry. Thompson is the current Secretary/Treasurer for the Louisiana Land Title Association (LLTA), and is a past president for that organization as well. He is a past president for the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Mortgage Bankers. He has been awarded as the LLTA’s Title Man of the Year and has received the President’s Award from that organization as well. He played collegiate basketball at Louisiana Tech University, eventually transferring to Loyola University of the South (now Loyola University New Orleans), where he received his bachelor’s degree.
"Earle and his team have a long, successful history with and deep understanding of the Louisiana and Mississippi markets," said Charles Cain, senior vice president, Midwest Agency Manager. "They have earned a stalwart reputation as agent-focused professionals and will further grow WFG’s presence as a resource for title agents here.”
