Jul 23, 2012

Matt Martin Real Estate Management (MMREM) has announced that Senior Vice President Ivan Choi has been voted the incoming chair-elect of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA)'s Board of Directors. AREAA is a non-profit trade organization representing the diverse Asian American housing market. With 12,000 members and 22 chapters in the U.S. and Canada, the group is dedicated to increasing homeownership opportunities in Asian American communities. “AREAA provides a powerful voice for real estate professionals who represent the rapidly growing Asian American community,” said Choi. “I’m pleased to have the opportunity serve as the head of this influential trade association.” Choi will be installed as the Incoming chair-elect in September at the 2012 AREAA national convention in Las Vegas, the largest event in the real estate industry dedicated to the Asian American market. “Like AREAA, MMREM is committed to the national housing and economic recovery. With both organizations, I have an opportunity to make a difference in promoting homeownership for all Americans,” Choi said. Choi joined MMREM in 2011, bringing his 15 years of experience as a lending and servicing executive to the company and its affiliate, Sperlonga Data & Analytics, which provides solutions for the growing problem of homeowners association (HOA) claims for unpaid fees. He has served on the board of directors of REOMAC, a non-profit trade association serving the mortgage default servicing industry nationwide, has long been active with AREAA, and is a frequent speaker at industry events.
