Tom Aarons Named Director of Secondary Marketing for Open Mortgage

Oct 11, 2012

Open Mortgage LLC has announced the hiring of Tom Aarons as its new director of secondary marketing. Aarons just celebrated 36 years in the financial services industry with the last 28 years dedicated entirely to mortgage banking. The depth of knowledge acquired during Tom's career can be best exemplified in the senior and executive level positions in loan production, operations, corporate finance, secondary marketing, and loan servicing. "This is part of our strategic initiative to improve efficiency of our lending pipeline and to improve Open Mortgage's competitive edge in pricing," said Scott Gordon, chief executive officer of Open Mortgage. Among many accomplishments in the financial services sector, Tom was instrumental in preventing two companies from losing their ability to service loans for GNMA, FNMA and FHLMC. Aarons closed distressed companies for regulators, served as conversion manager for numerous servicing and financial accounting system conversions, performed every level of due diligence, and served as manager on a multitude of portfolio and corporate acquisitions. He also counseled regulatory and financial auditors and attorneys on various mortgage banking issues, served as audit liaison for regulatory, investor, and financial audits in large and small environments. Aarons has a thorough understanding of the integration of all aspects of our industry combined with a sense of urgency and results oriented approach will allow Open Mortgage to take advantage of his experience and continue to be highly effective in today's competitive marketplace in the financial services sector.
