Oct 19, 2012

NewDay USA LLC has announced that it has teamed up with the non-profit organization, RenovatingHope, to repair and remodel the Towson, Md. home of a highly-decorated wounded veteran. NewDay is the lead sponsor of the project, which will include completely remodeling and updating the home, as well as new landscaping and re-grading of the property. In addition to providing $90,000 for the renovation project, employees of NewDay USA will offer their help by donating time and energy as landscapers, painters and work site laborers during weekends of Oct. 20-21 and Oct. 27-28. RenovatingHope will oversee and manage the project. “NewDay USA is committed to giving back and supporting the men and women who have served our country,” said Rob Posner, chief executive officer of NewDay USA. “Wounded veterans and their families deserve our deepest gratitude for their service, and when they are in need it’s our responsibility to do our part in assisting them. We are proud to partner with RenovatingHope in this project that will help this wounded veteran and his entire family enjoy a safer, secure and more comfortable home.” The wounded veteran suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, among other conditions related to his service to the country. In a career in the armed services spanning more than 20 years, he served tours of duty during Operation Desert Storm in the early 1990s, as well as tours of duty and overseas assignments during U.S. military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. He also served several rounds of active duty for Joint Intelligence Command Pacific (JICPAC). The home renovation will encompass remodeling of the kitchen, bath and laundry room, and replacement of electrical service and air-conditioning. Painting, flooring repairs and other carpentry updates will be made and new windows and other weatherization will make the home more comfortable in all seasons.
