Rouvaun Walker has been named vice president of the California Wholesale Division at WCS Lending LLC. A 20-plus-year veteran of the mortgage industry, Walker will be based out of WCS Lending’s newly-designed Concord, Calif. offices. Walker graduated from UC Berkley in 1991, with a degree in Economics and African-American Studies, and began working in the mortgage industry in 1992 as an account executive with American Residential Mortgage.
By 1999, as production manager for North American Mortgage, Walker led his team to fund $2 billion per year, making it the firm’s number one branch nationwide in profitability and volume.
“His hands-on and personable approach is a natural fit at WCS Lending,” said Sharon Bitz, vice president of WCS Lending. “The company prides itself on establishing relationships with its clients, as opposed to merely aiding in a transaction. My favorite thing about Rouvaun is his integrity.”
Walker has also spent time at Chase, Deutsche Bank, MortgageIT, U.S. Bank and EverBank, where he managed the firm’s top sales team. As California Division Manager at AMX/Land Home Financial Services, Walker increased wholesale production 1,000 percent in just four short months.
“Rouvaun has a proven track record for growing divisions from scratch, building clientele and doing so while hitting and blowing through his profit goals,” said Bitz.
Walker is engaged, has two children, and enjoys golfing and skiing.
Recently celebrating its 11th year anniversary, WCS Lending LLC is one of the largest privately-held mortgage banks in the United States and has been recognized as an Inc. 5000 honoree for the fourth consecutive year. The company, which is licensed in 49 states, has offices in Florida, New York, Michigan, Maryland, Delaware, Ohio and Hawaii and, generates over $2 billion in loans annually.
