Feb 20, 2013

Three senior executives have been promoted to lead divisions of Mason-McDuffie Mortgage Corporation, President and CEO Marilyn Richardson has announced. Brian Moggan will lead all loan production for the company as executive vice president of production. Kevin Conlon will oversee operations as executive vice president of operations, while Jason C. Frazier will manage a variety of departments as executive vice president of administration. “Brian, Kevin and Jason have been part of our senior management team and have contributed significantly to Mason-McDuffie reaching several milestones in 2012,” said Richardson. “These promotions and the resulting corporate alignment positions Mason-McDuffie to continue to grow in California and other selected markets across the country.” Moggan joined the firm in 2011 to manage its Oakland office. In addition to building the team there, Moggan also earned membership in the President’s Club, recognition reserved for the top 10 percent of loan officers in the company. He grew his team that eventually expanded to a second office in Berkeley and a third in Lafayette. He was promoted to senior vice president in 2012 and moved into the executive vice president role in February with responsibility for the production, builder and credit union divisions. “Brian has consistently demonstrated his ability to recruit quality loan officers allowing for continued growth while effectively managing our existing production team. I am confident he will lead our production team with clear vision and direction to achieve another record production year in 2013,” said Richardson. Moggan said he will continue to work with branch office managers and other executives to recruit high performing loan officers. “We have the opportunity to recruit very successful loan officers who will find Mason-McDuffie’s commitment to service will help them continue to grow their businesses." Moggan, a native of Ireland, worked for Mortgage Services Professionals, Met Life Home Loans and Princeton Capital prior to joining Mason-McDuffie. He has 13 years of experience in the mortgage and financial services business. Conlon joined Mason-McDuffie in 2006 and has led various administration and operation groups since that time. Mason-McDuffie is a direct lender which allows the firm to ensure efficient operations, which are critical to the success of the loan officers. “Kevin’s operations group is the backbone of the company,” said Richardson. “Their ability to underwrite and close loans in a timely manner coupled with the flexibility to expedite approvals and closing if required by the situation, allows our loan officers to provide extraordinary service.” Previously he worked for Delta Lending Group as the branch development manager and Zino Financial as vice president of business development. He also founded a boutique recruitment firm. Conlon’s team worked closely with Frazier’s Prime Services Group as Mason-McDuffie transitioned to an entirely paperless operation in 2012. That required extensive training of the employees while maintaining and expanding processing capability to accommodate the company’s steady growth. Frazier, who joined the company to develop its information technology group, combined the IT services with all training and social media management in 2012. The marketing group also started to report to him in 2012. In his new position, he will oversee Prime Services including IT, marketing, training and social media as well as human resources, legal, security, facilities and the administrative staff. “Jason has done an excellent job managing and growing our Prime Services Group and will easily merge the other departments into his administrative division,” said Richardson. “He shares our passion for excellent service—both to internal and external clients. We have seen the result of that with his team and their commitment to serving our employees.”  Frazier has a strong IT and operations management background with Silicon Valley and San Francisco technology firms. He joined Mason-McDuffie in 2009. He has consulted or worked with a variety of firms including: Founders Fund, Linkedin, Safeco Insurance, Peregrine Systems, Dresdner RCM and Bandwidth Capital. He was senior vice president for IT and security for Clarium Capital Management, a San Francisco-based hedge fund.
