GMH Mortgage Services Adds Penny Smith as VP of Processing

Newtown Square, Pa.-based GMH Mortgage Services LLC has announced the addition of Penny Smith as vice president of processing. Smith has over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry and most recently worked at New Penn Financial where she managed an operations channel for the company. Prior to that, she worked at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, where she was directly responsible for the growth, development and profitability of the mid-Atlantic retail channel. "Penny brings a strong reputation of implementing and executing upon operational efficiencies while ensuring that superior customer service is delivered throughout all phases of the loan process," said Karen Bausman, president of GMH Mortgage Services. "Penny will enhance our growth strategy by working closely with our loan officers across our retail platform to create new proficiencies with a set of streamlined processes and procedures through technology, training and communication. Penny is a welcome asset to our expanding team, and helps us continue our strategic growth through the year." During her tenure at Wells Fargo, Smith was also responsible for dramatically increasing their FHA and VA loan funding by developing an extensive sales and operations training program. Having served in various management roles for several influential firms, Smith's diverse experience makes her ideally suited for GMH Mortgage's strategic growth plan.
