Mar 06, 2013

loanDepot.com LLC is expanding into Plano, Texas, and will add up to 500 new jobs in the next three years. loanDepot's continued success and future growth initiatives drove the company to select Plano as it searched for a location with a strong labor pool that was centrally located within the United States. "The decision to grow in Plano significantly advances loanDepot's strategic growth plans to continue to be a top residential mortgage lender in the country," said loanDepot Founder and Chief Executive Officer Anthony Hsieh. "The favorable tax positions offered by the City of Plano and the State of Texas create a competitive advantage for loanDepot and its shareholders that will allow us to continue to drive great value for our customers." Plano will be the fourth location for loanDepot, which currently has more than 1,000 full-time employees in its offices in Foothill Ranch, Calif., Scottsdale, Ariz., and Brentwood, Tenn. The company has already begun hiring mortgage sales and fulfillment teams and plans to house a sizable portion of its corporate positions there as Plano will function as a dual headquarters with Foothill Ranch for loanDepot. The growth in Plano will complement the company's plan to grow all four of its locations and provide consumers in all 50 states even greater levels of service and convenience. "The city of Plano is honored that loanDepot has selected Plano as the location of their new headquarters. It has been a pleasure to work with them in this process and we are delighted loanDepot recognizes that Plano's unbeatable combination of low cost of doing business, as well as an educated workforce, make it the ideal place to grow their business," said Plano Mayor Phil Dyer.
