United Guaranty Increases Western Presence With Vegas Expansion

United Guaranty has expanded its presence in the Western United States with the opening of a new location in Las Vegas, Nev. The Nevada office houses a team of underwriters who support United Guaranty’s commitment to underwrite full files for mortgage insurance within 24 hours. It will also include loan registration staff. With the improvement of housing markets nationwide, the new office—projected to include about 35 employees—will provide additional underwriting resources. In addition to Greensboro and Las Vegas, United Guaranty has underwriting offices in Bellevue, Wash.; Oak Brook, Ill.; and Atlanta, Ga.,as well as a number of underwriters who work remotely in locations across the country. “In light of emerging positive trends in home sales, it’s important that our skilled underwriters are located to serve lenders in all regions,” said Michael Hitt, United Guaranty’s vice president of Insurance Operations. “There’s no change in the process for our customers. They will continue to contact their dedicated customer support team for our usual fast turnaround and thorough underwriting.”
