GSF Names Laura Horacek New Indiana Branch Manager

GSF Mortgage has announced the addition of industry veteran Laura Horacek as branch manager in the firm's Fort Wayne, Ind. branch. Horacek comes to GSF Mortgage with more than 20 years in the banking industry and has spent 15 years specifically in the mortgage business. She has worked in various positions in the banking industry such as audit, security and fraud. When her job was eliminated, she decided to get her real estate license. After a few years, Horacek decided to join the in-house mortgage company, where she learned origination, processing and prepared loans for closing. “I keep open communication throughout the entire process, whether it is good, better or indifferent”, said Horacek. After eight years of working for this company, Horacek decided to branch out on her own. She started her own mortgage company, along with her own insurance company, which she recently sold to her son-in-law. “Laura is a great addition to our team. Her knowledge of the many facets of the industry, along with being well versed on industry changes makes her an ideal model-match," said Mike Maida, national sales director for GSF Mortgage. "We are anxious to see big things happen in the Fort Wayne area."
