Generation Mortgage Bolsters Pacific Sales Team

Apr 28, 2014

Generation Mortgage Company has announced the addition of two new members to its pacific region retail sales team. Joining Generation are California Area Manager Evan White and Arizona Area Manager Charles Byler. Both gentleman are responsible for leading teams of reverse mortgage professionals in their respective states and are certified to run Generation’s proprietary nu62 software, which is an online tool that helps seniors determine the best way to use home equity strategically during retirement. “The pacific region of the country is an area that we view as ripe with opportunity in the conversion mortgage space,” said Generation Chief Sales Officer Cheryl MacNally. “While California has been regarded as a retirement destination for decades, many seniors find the warm climate of Arizona just as appealing. Consequently, we felt it was essential to hire the best talent available in the areas, and we’re pleased to have Evan and Charles join the Generation team.” White comes to Generation from Cherry Creek Mortgage, where he served as branch manager, overseeing an area that encompassed southern California through Montana. He previously held the roles of branch manager and home mortgage consultant at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. White began his mortgage industry career at Cornerstone Financial as a loan officer prior to his promotion to sales manager. Byler brings 10 years of mortgage experience along with 27 years in the banking industry to Generation. During the past decade, Byler held the position of reverse mortgage manager at Approval Mortgage, Sun West Mortgage and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. From 1966 to 1993, he worked at a variety of banks and savings and loans in the Los Angeles area, starting as a teller and ultimately achieving the title of executive vice president – chief operating officer.
