Supreme Lending Lands On Exclusive Dallas Business Journal List
Supreme Lending has been named to the Dallas Business Journal’s 2014 list of the “Best Places to Work” in the Dallas area. This is the second consecutive year that the company has achieved this prestigious distinction. Supreme Lending is the only mortgage lender selected for this year’s list.
The Dallas-area “Best Places to Work” is an annual awards program produced by the Dallas Business Journal in conjunction with Quantum Workplace, an independent research firm. Companies were selected for this award based on responses from their employees. Each employee was asked to evaluate his or her company on teamwork, retention risk, alignment with goals, trust with coworkers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, job satisfaction and benefits. Quantum Workplace surveyed the employee submissions from each company, compiled data, tallied results and matched the results against national standards.
Employee satisfaction has played a strong role in Supreme Lending’s operations since its inception.
“We put a lot of effort into making Supreme Lending a place where people enjoy and look forward to coming to work,” said Scott Everett, founder and president of Supreme Lending. “Our people have been the foundation of this company from day one. From our visually pleasing office décor to our associate appreciation events, we believe in investing in the things that make our associates happy.”
Over the years, the company has implemented numerous employee-focused initiatives, including an onsite workout facility with showers; a game room with pool table, ping pong table and video games; and a casual dress program. The company also encourages employees to take time off during the year in order to "recharge" and stay energized and positive in their jobs. Supreme hosts numerous employee events throughout the year, including an annual Easter egg hunt for eggs with a total of $20,000 cash hidden inside; casino trips; snow cone days; cookouts; and bowling nights.
“This has been the best employment experience in my 23 years in the mortgage industry,” said Dena Guidry, products specialist for Supreme Lending. “The work environment is one of camaraderie because the associates are happy to be here. And management is appreciative, inspiring and supportive. I’ve only been here three weeks and already I love it. I cannot imagine working anywhere else.”
“I truly love this place and the people that are my coworkers,” said Katina Stinson, an underwriter with Supreme Lending. “I am glad to say that I have been working here for over 10 years and look forward to another 10 years.”
