The National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) has welcomed Kent Leach as senior vice president of creditor relations. Leach will manage a team that provides the leadership and technical skills necessary to support the strategic shifts required in today’s financial counseling sector, ensuring that quality financial counseling services remain available to consumers. “Kent joins the NFCC at an important time as we are making fundamental changes to traditional financial counseling services, ensuring that they are relevant to the needs of today's consumers and that solutions to pay down outstanding debt are expanded,” said Susan C. Keating, president and CEO of the NFCC. “His long time career in financial services and his commitment to consumers’ financial stability will serve us well as we move forward with our plans.” Leach comes to the NFCC with over 27 years of professional experience, primarily in credit card services within the financial services industry. He worked most recently at U.S. Bancorp as group manager, Collections & Recovery Administration. In that position, he was responsible for all business support functions for the Division including training, employee engagement, compliance, communications, service quality, credit bureau disputes and consumer complaints. Leach previously worked for MBNA spending 19 years in various positions including director of the Collections and Credit Divisions.
