Apr 29, 2014

Primary Residential Mortgage Inc. (PRMI) has announced that Dan Rivisto has joined the firm as a division manager. With more than four decades of accounting, management, real estate, sales and lending experience, Rivisto’s addition to the PRMI team enhances the firm’s expertise and broadens its reach throughout the Pacific Northwest states. “Dan is one of the most accomplished mortgage industry professionals in the region,” said Dave Zitting, president and CEO of PRMI. “He’s been in this business long enough to have seen it all – the ups and the downs. The insight Dan has gained over the course of his career, combined with his commitment to serving clients, will greatly benefit our team. We are proud to welcome Dan to PRMI.” Prior to joining PRMI, Rivisto was responsible for oversight of all residential mortgage production in Washington, Oregon, Montana and Northern California for Cherry Creek Mortgage. He has also held executive and senior management positions with national lenders such as Countrywide Home Loans, Chase Home Mortgage, W.J. Bradley and Guild Mortgage Company. Through these positions, he gained a deep knowledge of markets in Alaska and throughout the Northwest states. Rivisto’s expertise and accomplishments have positioned him among the highest producing and most effective mortgage industry professionals in the region. During his tenure with Guild Mortgage Company, Rivisto oversaw unprecedented corporate growth with the opening of 14 new branch locations, the addition of more than 100 loan officers and the establishment of an operation center in Oregon. This expansion marked the company’s first retail presence in the state. During Rivisto’s work with Countrywide Home Loans as vice president and regional builder manager, he led a builder team that increased its market share from 1 percent to 12 percent within just a three-year timeframe. Supplementing his distinguished career in mortgage banking, Rivisto also worked as a real estate agent in Seattle for more than 14 years. He specialized in new housing development, sales and marketing. Rivisto currently serves as a state director for the Builders Industry Association of Washington, and is a member of the board of directors for the Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association.
