FAMP’s Jacksonville Chapter Makes Donation to the Sulzbacher Center

Officers of the Jacksonville Chapter of Florida Association of Mortgage Professionals (FAMP) recently visited the Sulzbacher Center to deliver donations of cash and toiletries the group collected at its October meeting as part of the chapter’s ongoing community service efforts.

“Nearly 3,000 of our neighbors are homeless every night in Jacksonville,” said Howard Dyal, president of the Jacksonville Chapter of FAMP. “In addition to shelter, they need food, clothing, support and many of the basic necessities we all take for granted. We hope that our efforts can also bring awareness to the needs of this often invisible population and encourage our FAMP members to understand and continue to support this need in the community.”

The Sulzbacher Center is Northeast Florida’s largest provider of comprehensive services for homeless men, women and children and one of only a few centers in the nation to offer a full range of services for the homeless 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
