Would You Buy a Prefab House From Brad Pitt?

Mar 20, 2015

Homebuyers with a passion for celebrities are in luck: A prefab house on a 20-acre ranch near California’s Joshua Tree National Park, created in consultation with Brad Pitt's Make it Right Foundation, is now up for sale.

But this is not just any old prefab house. According to Inhabit.com, this three-bedroom/two-bathroom prefab is a LEED platinum-level-certified property constructed by “recycled and cradle-to-cradle-certified products incorporated into its structure, and includes a carbon offset in the purchase of the home to counter the energy used in its construction.” Further energy efficiency is achieved via grey water recycling and a photovoltaic system, which can be added separately via local contractors.

The asking price for this home is $485,000. Oh, but there is no guarantee that Brad Pitt (either alone or with wife Angelina Jolie) will be at the closing
