WFG National Title Agency Group Adds Two to Southeast Region

Mar 30, 2015

Scott Peterson and Beatrice Sykes have joined WFG National Title Insurance Company as agency sales consultants in the company’s Southeast region. WFG National Title is a full-service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for commercial and residential transactions nationwide.

Peterson and Sykes will be charged with growing the company’s footprint in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. They will also serve as resources for WFG agents in the region. Peterson brings 20 years of experience in the settlement services industry to WFG National Title. He has held agency sales positions for the past 15, and at one time had partial ownership of an independent title agency. He additionally has experience with closings, title searches, recordings, marketing and agency start-ups. He is a U.S. Army veteran as well.

Sykes has been in the title insurance business for 40 years. Before joining WFG National Title, she served as a vice president for two of the nation’s largest national underwriters. Sykes has also served as a plant manager and title examiner. She attended RPI (Virginia Commonwealth University) in the paralegal field and holds a Virginia real estate license. Sykes also served two years as Ambassador for the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and Ambassador for the Home Builders Association.

“Bea and Scott know the region and its agents well,” said Thomas Klein, senior vice president, agency, Southeast Region. “Accordingly, they understand what WFG’s agents here will need to adapt to the recent and coming regulatory changes. We are confident that they will be trusted advisors to our clients in the coming months and years.”
