WFG National Title Promotes Roger Blauvelt to SVP

Jun 01, 2015

WFG National Title Insurance Company has promoted Roger Blauvelt to lead the continued growth of its relationship with the nation’s largest independent title agencies, as senior vice president overseeing the company’s National Agency Division. Blauvelt, who was previously WFG National Title’s vice president, National Agency Underwriting Counsel, will be responsible for maintaining WFG’s relationship with its largest national title agents, as well as spearheading new growth.  He came to WFG National Title in 2011 with over 30 years of experience in the title and mortgage industry. Before joining the company, he served as Counsel—Special Issues for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Before that, he served 24 years with one of the nation’s largest title underwriters, departing after seven years in the role of SVP, Northeast and Southeast Regional Counsel. He has been the New Jersey State Manager and counsel for a national underwriter and has managed both direct and independent agency operations. Earlier in his career, Blauvelt also owned an interest in a Morristown, N.J. title agency. He was the New Jersey Land Title Association’s president in 1987 and 1988. Blauvelt received his juris doctorate from Fordham Law School, and his bachelor’s degree from Boston College.

“Roger came to WFG already recognized as one of the industry’s top underwriting counsel, and he has exceeded even our high expectations to become a powerful resource for our independent agents,” said Patrick Stone, president and CEO for Williston Financial Group. “Roger is a staunch advocate for his clients, and will only accelerate his group’s growth with his leadership and experience.”
