Stan Marlar Jr. has joined Mortgage Network Inc. as branch manager of the company’s Nashville, Tenn. office, where he will be responsible for recruiting staff and serving borrowers and homeowners throughout the Music City metro area. Marlar brings to Mortgage Network 15 years of mortgage banking experience in the Nashville area. Most recently, he served as a senior loan officer for Hancock Mortgage Partners. The father of four enjoys coaching youth sports and is a past volunteer at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

“Extraordinary service is at the root of who we are as a direct lender, and Stan has showed that strong commitment throughout his career,” said Larry Gunnin, Mortgage Network regional manager. “Given Stan’s knowledge of the local market and dedication to local borrowers and homeowners, he was the perfect choice to lead our Nashville office.”

“I am thrilled to be joining Mortgage Network, a lender with a reputation for great mortgage products and customer service that is above reproach,” Marlar said. “I got into the mortgage business because of a bad experience with my lender when we bought our first home. Right then and there, I decided to make a difference for others going through the home buying experience. More than 1,500 clients later, it turned out to be the most rewarding decision I ever made. The Nashville housing market is growing stronger. Even though home prices have risen steadily over the past two years, there are still plenty of opportunities for buyers with mortgage rates as low as they are. However, getting the right loan requires working with a lender that not only offers a wide variety of financing options, but understands each buyer's unique needs and goals.”
