The fast-growing crowdfunding property investment sector saw two regional players combine into one: San Antonio, Texas-based crowd investing platform MassVenture Inc., acquired Austin-based real estate crowd funding company Equity Brick LLC. Terms of the transaction were not made public.

The combined companies will operate under the MassVenture banner and will focus on Texas-located private and commercial real estate investing. Ultimately, the newly combined entity will aim at bringing Texas-based investments to the national market.

“The combination of Equity Brick and MassVenture is a highly strategic, value-enhancing step,” said Seemant Nakra, founder of Equity Brick. “We are bringing together the unique strengths of two great start ups to deliver best-in-class real estate crowdfunding platform using state of the art technologies to investors around the Texas and country.”
