The financial services giant Transamerica has announced that more than 300 of its employees will participate this year in an eight-city home building and repair endeavor with Habitat for Humanity.

According to the company, this is the fifth consecutive year that Transamerica has partnered with Habitat for Humanity, which will sell each completed home to qualifying Habitat families at no profit; the new homeowners are able to finance their purchase with affordable loans.

The eight cities for this year’s homebuilding and repair efforts are Transamerica’s headquarters base of Baltimore plus Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Denver; Little Rock, Ark.; Los Angeles; Memphis; Plano, Texas; and St. Petersburg, Fla.

"Transamerica's core purpose is to help individuals and families achieve a lifetime of financial security," said Mark Mullin, president and CEO of Transamerica. "Our employees have donated more than 12,000 hours over the past four years to help Habitat families achieve the American dream of home ownership. We're honored to again partner with Habitat in transforming the prospects for families and creating the stability which home ownership makes possible."
