First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation (FGMC) has announced that mortgage industry sales veteran Angelo Zakis has joined the company as regional sales manager for the company’s Northeast Correspondent Division

First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation (FGMC) has announced that mortgage industry sales veteran Angelo Zakis has joined the company as regional sales manager for the company’s Northeast Correspondent Division.

“We’re very excited to have Angelo join our national correspondent sales team,” said Mark Mayhook, senior director of TPO Production for First Guaranty. “Angelo’s deep experience in correspondent sales and solid track record in the Northeast–will undoubtedly cause him to become an even greater asset to the company.”

Zakis brings nearly 20 years of mortgage industry sales experience to FGMC. Prior to joining FGMC, Zakis was national account manager of the Credit Union Segment for BOK Financial Correspondent Mortgage Services, where his position was designed to focus solely on credit unions across the country. He was also regional sales manager for the Northeast and Upper Mid-West Territories for BOK Financial Correspondent Mortgage Services. His career path includes regional sales manager of TPO Lending–Northeast and North Central Territory for Amerisave Mortgage Corporation; officer, senior AE–Institutional Mortgage Services & Correspondent Lending for Bank of America Corporation; and senior AE for Countrywide Home Loans.

Zakis received his bachelor of science degree in health policy and administration from Penn State University.
