President Trump will appoint former OneWest Bank CEO Joseph Otting as the next Comptroller of the Currency.

According to an Associated Press report, Otting was at OneWest from 2010 to 2015 and worked with then-chairman Steven Mnuchin, who is now Treasury Secretary. He was previously vice chairman of U.S. Bancorp, the parent company of Minneapolis-based U.S. Bank.
 
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is currently run by Keith Noreika, who was installed last month as acting comptroller following the resignation of Thomas Curry, who served as comptroller since 2012.
