The award was given to Williams in recognition of his outstanding work on behalf of MBA’s political advocacy programs and the mortgage lending industry.

“This year, I am proud to extend this honor to a man whose commitment is reflected in his ongoing dedication to MORPAC as well as his leadership within MBA,” said Dave Motley, CMB, 2018 MBA Chairman and President Colonial Savings. “Fowler is an essential advocate for MBA’s advocacy programs, and as the immediate past Mortgage Action Alliance Chairman, he strengthened and expanded MBA’s grassroots advocacy by adding a record number of new MAA members which almost doubled the previous record holder.”

Williams serves as MBA’s Georgia Ambassador, a position designed to engage with MBA members, non-members and state and local mortgage banking association leaders across a range of communication, advocacy and member recruitment/retention activities.
