M&T Bank Seeks to Offer Account Services at MetLife Stadium

Buffalo, N.Y.-based M&T Bank is seeking permission from the New York State Department of Financial Services to open accounts in an on-site location within MetLife Stadium, the football venue located at East Rutherford, N.J.

According to a Buffalo Business First report, the bank plans to offer account services at the stadium starting on Oct. 7. However, there will not be a full-time branch at the stadium and the M&T staff would on be at the site during the New York Jets’ home games.

Last year, M&T signed a sponsorship agreement to become the "Official Community Bank" of the Jets. However the bank is generous with its love of football teams: It is also the "Official Bank" of the Buffalo Bills and sponsors the M&T Club at New Era Field in Orchard Park, N.Y., and it also holds naming rights for the Baltimore Ravens' stadium.
