Brenda Hedeen brings nearly 10 years of experience as a CFO to the role

Utah-based Canopy Mortgage welcomed Brenda Hedeen, a tenured chief financial officer, to its team as CFO.

Hedeen, formerly CFO for Open Mortgage, On Q Financial, and Mann Mortgage, announced the career move via a LinkedIn post on Thursday afternoon.

"I was delighted when they reached out as I’ve had my eye on this group for years…they have it all: Techcentric, innovative, cost-effective, amazing culture, truly transparent pricing, engaged leadership, and outstanding retail model," Hedeen's post read.

Hedeen is a certified public accountant and earned her master’s in accounting from Stetson University and a bachelor’s in accounting at Baker College.

Founded in 2018, Canopy has originated about $1.35 billion in mortgages over the past 12 months, according to Modex data.
