Evergreen Home Loans names fintech veteran Dan Richards chief strategy officer to drive channel expansion, AI-powered innovation, and long-term growth

Evergreen Home Loans has appointed seasoned mortgage and fintech executive Dan Richards as its new chief strategy officer, signaling a strategic push to expand origination channels, leverage advanced technology, and drive long-term growth across the lender’s nationwide footprint.

Richards brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience at the intersection of mortgage lending and technology, with a track record of scaling profitable channels and modernizing operations. Before joining Evergreen, he served as President of Flyhomes Mortgage and Senior Vice President of Home Loans at SoFi, and held leadership roles at Academy Mortgage, Google, Microsoft, and Nokia, giving him deep insight into both mortgage origination and technology-enabled business transformation.

"Dan brings a rare blend of strategic vision and operational execution," said Don Burton, president and CEO of Evergreen Home Loans.

In his new role, Richards will lead Evergreen’s long-term growth strategy, with particular emphasis on diversifying business channels, pursuing strategic acquisitions, and positioning the company as a leader in intelligent lending. A central focus of his mandate will be the development and implementation of a “people-powered AI strategy” designed to enhance underwriting, origination efficiency, and customer experience — initiatives that could materially impact loan officers’ workflow and competitive positioning in the market.

Richards reaffirmed his commitment to accelerating Evergreen’s evolution: “I’m excited to help expand new channels, strengthen our strategic roadmap, and implement a people-powered AI strategy that makes the mortgage experience faster and more reliable.”
