First National Bank Expands Strategy Team With AI & Data Science Hires
Banks like FNB are embedding AI into the fabric of their business.
First National Bank (FNB), the largest subsidiary of F.N.B. Corporation (NYSE: FNB), has strengthened its strategy team with the addition of Santosh Sinha as Director of AI and Innovation and Sundeep Tangirala as Director of Data Science. Both report to Chris Chan, Chief Strategy Officer.
Sinha brings more than a decade of experience in financial services, having co-founded his own technology startup and worked as an AI researcher for the U.S. government. Sinha is now responsible for developing and executing the Company’s AI strategy with a focus on ethical and compliant practices. He will also identify high-value opportunities for innovation and foster cross-functional collaboration to deliver transformative solutions.
Tangirala, formerly Senior Vice President and Head of Data & Machine Learning Engineering at PNC Bank, brings more than 20 years of technology leadership, including nearly 15 years in financial services. At FNB, he will oversee strategic decisioning systems and the
development and maintenance of regulatory and forecasting models. He will also lead a team of data scientists and quantitative modeling analysts who identify new insights and opportunities to drive revenue, efficiency and process improvements for Retail and Wholesale Banking, Marketing, Credit, Risk Management and other internal departments.
