GHMC Launches Borrower Application Portal 'GAssist'

Portal provides community banks, credit unions, and brokers with tools to better manage borrower expectations.

Guaranty Home Mortgage Corp. (GHMC), a national independent mortgage banker, recently announced the launch of GAssist, an online application portal designed to offer borrowers a unique experience at no added cost for its partners.

According to the company, GAssist provides community banks, credit unions, and brokers with tools to better manage borrower expectations, including guided originations and “white glove” processing, all within a highly secure application portal. 

“Comprised of cutting-edge technology and industry expertise, GAssist enables a more efficient workflow helping scale businesses.” the company said in a news release. 

During 2020, 61% of borrowers reported using an online application during the mortgage loan process, according to a study by Ice Mortgage Technology. With the increase in digital technology use, lenders have worked to simplify the application process, reducing the time to close and allocating more time to personalize the user experience, GHMC said.

“Innovative technology is imperative to the mortgage industry with more and more applicants  taking advantage of online options offered by lenders,” says Chip Adkins, GHMC president & CEO. “GAssist is here to help mitigate and streamline that process for our partners so that borrowers can expect a seamless experience from start to finish.”
