Veteran mortgage leader eyes national expansion, banking on the company's entrepreneurial approach and innovative technology.
Veteran mortgage executive John Cady has been named the new president of Citywide Home Loans, a lender backed by technology from Guaranteed Rate Companies. Originating in Utah in 1998, Citywide Home Loans now operates from 55 offices across 36 states.
Cady brings over 35 years of experience in the mortgage sector and is recognized for expanding platforms to achieve over $15 billion in annual production. As a producer during the first 20 years of his career, he closed more than 6,500 loans for over $2 billion in volume. His expertise spans various mortgage production and operations channels, from retail to credit union channels.
"I'm incredibly pleased to be joining Citywide Home Loans," said Cady. "The company is the perfect mix of culture, service, and programs that many mortgage professionals have been looking for. I believe we're in position to pick up market share throughout the country."
According to the press release, Cady was drawn to Citywide because of its approach towards its originators, treating them as entrepreneurial collaborators.
"We help build habits that will stay with the loan officer the rest of their career," he said. "We're especially proud to have seen an increase of over 40% in production."
