Kind Lending Hires Jennifer Folk As Chief Operating Officer

Mortgage industry veteran to focus on infrastructure, service delivery, and expansion at Kind, company says
Kind Lending, a mortgage lender that claims to be built on a culture of kindness, collaboration, and forward-thinking solutions, has appointed Jennifer Folk its new chief operating officer.
Calling Folk “a powerhouse in mortgage operations and a respected leader in the financial services industry,” Kind noted the new hire brings more than two decades of leadership experience in mortgage banking and “is widely respected as a strategic operator, change agent, and culture builder.”
Most recently, Folk was vice president of fulfillment operations at Tri Pointe Connect, the mortgage company affiliated with Tri Pointe Homes. As Kind’s COO, Folk will lead company-wide operations, focusing on scalable infrastructure, enhanced service delivery, and continued expansion in the wholesale and retail mortgage space.
"Kind isn't just growing, it's redefining what a modern mortgage company can be," Folk stated in a release. "The culture here is focused on performance and purpose."
Folk has a connection to Kind's roots, the company noted: she served in a senior leadership role at Stearns Lending, the company founded by Glenn Stearns in 1989. Stearns founded Kind Lending in March 2020.
"Jennifer's leadership is exactly what Kind Lending needs as we continue to scale and expand," said Yvonne Ketchum, president of Kind Lending. "Her expertise in operational excellence and her deep understanding of the mortgage industry will help us strengthen our foundation and accelerate our growth.”
On that note, Folk has a track record of leading organizations through periods of rapid transformation, “leveraging analytics, technology, and process innovation,” according to Kind. The company says it aims to provide “a seamless, stress-free loan process tailored to meet the diverse needs of [its] borrowers.”
