Brian McKinney steps into the newly-created role.

National residential mortgage lender PrimeLending, a PlainsCapital Company, today announced the appointment of Brian McKinney as its executive vice president of growth and strategic development, a newly created position.

“Brian is a tremendous addition to our team, bringing an incredible track record of success building top-performing business lines in the mortgage industry,” said President and CEO of PrimeLending, Steve Thompson. “Brian shares our commitment to excellence – we don’t settle for average – and I’m excited to see the positive impact that Brian will have on the future of PrimeLending.”

With more than 30 years of leadership experience in financial services and retail mortgage lending, including his recent role as CEO of Plano, Texas-based Benchmark Mortgage, McKinney brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to PrimeLending, which is based in Dallas. McKinney also formerly held roles at GMAC, which is now Ally Financial.
