STRATMOR Group Names Coby Hakalir Managing Director
Industry veteran joins advisory firm after leading mortgage banking and core services at T3 Sixty
STRATMOR Group has named longtime mortgage industry executive and advisor Coby Hakalir as managing director.
Hakalir most recently served as managing director at T3 Sixty, where he led mortgage banking and core services and advised lenders, investors, real estate companies, and affiliated businesses. His experience spans residential and construction lending across national and super-regional banks, independent mortgage banks, and privately owned brokerages.
At STRATMOR, Hakalir will focus in part on the increasingly connected mortgage and real estate businesses, according to Senior Partner Garth Graham. That work will include advising lenders and real estate professionals on business strategies and technology investments intended to support growth and performance.
“I’ve admired STRATMOR for a very long time,” Hakalir said. “I have tremendous respect for what STRATMOR brings to the industry, for the leaders who built it, and for the talented people delivering results for clients every day.”
Hakalir is also a familiar voice across the industry through podcasts, speaking engagements, and industry commentary. He co-hosts Chrisman Commentary's Last Word and has appeared on numerous other mortgage industry podcasts.
He is also a regular contributor to National Mortgage Professional, writing on mortgage leadership and industry issues. Earlier this year, Hakalir wrote an NMP profile of Rate executive Randell Gillespie examining the role relationships and technology play in mortgage origination.
STRATMOR advises mortgage companies on areas including growth, profitability, sales, marketing, technology, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. The firm says it works with more than 250 companies annually and collaborates with the Mortgage Bankers Association on the PGR: MBA and STRATMOR Peer Group Roundtables Program.
